Jumpstart Financial Support

Skill Up Futsal Training partners with Jumpstart to ensure that young people have access to sports programs by addressing financial challenges. Understanding that economic constraints can hinder families from enrolling their children in sports or physical activities, Skill Up is committed to creating equitable opportunities with the support for Jumpstart.

To simplify the application process, families are encouraged to carefully review the eligibility criteria. Financial eligibility is determined based on specific guidelines outlined by Revenue Canada’s Low-Income Cut-Offs (LICO) chart, ensuring that funds are allocated to those in need. Children aged 4 to 18 are eligible for assistance.

Proof of financial need is crucial, requiring families to provide clear and current documentation, such as their Canada Child Benefit statement. In certain cases, alternative forms of eligibility confirmation may be accepted, accommodating recent immigrants or individuals escaping abusive situations.

Financial aid can amount to a maximum of $600 per child annually per activity, depending on the discretion of the local Jumpstart Chapter and its financial limitations. Each application undergoes assessment based on local demands and financial considerations.

Upon approval, funds are disbursed directly to Skill Up. Families can seek assistance throughout the application process by contacting jumpstart@cantire.com.

Before initiating the application, it's vital to gather all necessary information, including contact details, activity preferences, proof of financial need, and the requested funding amount.

By removing financial barriers and facilitating access to sports programs, Skill Up and Jumpstart aim to empower young individuals to pursue their athletic dreams, fostering a healthier and more inclusive community for all.
